Brenden Ormsby

Brenden Ormsby, MSW, LICSW.  Brenden holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Social Work from St. Thomas University.  Brenden has a strong passion for intersectionality, trauma, minority experience, and people underserved or poorly served by our mental health systems.  He often works with folks at one of the intersections of LGBTQIA+ identity, neurodivergence, and trauma providing respectful, culturally humble and non-judgmental care.  The core guiding principle in Brenden’s therapeutic approach is that all behavior makes sense in context, and if he doesn’t understand you then he must be missing something. Brenden works with clients struggling with both emotional under-control and emotional over-control providing both traditional DBT and RO-DBT as well as executive functioning and neuroaffirming therapy.   In his spare time, Brenden enjoys hiking the North Shore of Lake Superior as well as most nerdy pursuits including board games, video games, science fiction and fantasy.
